House. Early C17. 1½ storeys: 2-cell plan. Timber-framed and plastered
with black glazed pantiled roof. Internal chimney-stack with saw-tooth
chimney. Late C19 casement windows with horizontal bars. 2 gabled dormers.
Single-storey C19 extension on north in brick and flint, with glazed pantiled
roof. The mother of Robert Bloomfield (1766-1823), the rural poet who wrote
'The Farmer's Boy' and other poems, was born in this house.
