Former tithe barn to the rectory, now Barningham House. C18, with early C19
extensions and alterations. Timber-framed, partly encased and partly extended
in flint and red brick, with an inner layer of clunch blocks along the west
wall and on both gable walls. 2 large projecting porches and an added lean-to
on the east side. Pantiled roofs: half-hipped to main range, fully hipped
over porches. The west wall has a row of diamond-shaped ventilation holes in
red brick. Frame in 5 bays, the trusses with some reused timbers. Roof in 12
bays: small principal rafters, 2 rows of stepped butt purlins and a ridge-
piece.
