TM 37 NW HUNTINGFIELD LINSTEAD ROAD

Farmhouse. Early C18 with later wing to rear forming L shape plan. Red brick
with some burnt headers; roof plaintiled to front and pantiled to rear. 2
storeys and attic. Symmetrical facade: 3 windows, C19 2-light and 3-light
casements under segmental arches, the 2 outer ground floor windows with paired
boarded shutters; half-glazed entrance door with open timber trellis porch; to
either side of the doorway are 2 mid C20 windows. Brick band at first floor
level and brick eaves dentil cornice; parapet gable ends with eaves brick band
and integral stacks. At first floor level the staircase has a square newel
post with finial, probably C17.
