House. 1912 by M. H. Baillie-Scott in Neo-Queen Anne style. Whitewashed render
with brick dressings and wooden modillioned eaves cornice; hipped plain tiled
roof extending in catslide to front extension on left. Two storeys and attics
under 2 hipped roof dormers with C20 casement windows. Outer stacks under tile-
on-edge stepped coping. Three bay front,A B A,on brick plinth and with full
height brick pier buttresses articulating. Outer bays each have two 8-light
glazing-bar sash windows in architrave surrounds on each floor. Centre bay with
one sash window on the first floor. Door of 6 fielded panels to centre in
architrave surround and under segmental pediment on console brackets and Doric
pilasters. Further door on return front of garage extension to left. Rear:- Three
bays with 15-pane glazing-bar sash windows on the first floor. Two dormers above.
One 18-pane sash on ground floor with brick apron. C20 square bay window to right
with 24-pane windows on the flanks and three 18-pane front sashes in reeded
uprights.
