House, possible Hall. Early C16 extended and altered in the C19. Timber framed
with some main posts exposed. Whitewashed brick cladding on ground floor and to
first floor left, tile hung above in fishscale pattern. Hipped plain-tiled
roofs with gablet to left. Two storeys with corbelled C20 stack to left and off-
set stack to front right of centre. Two windows on first floor left, two windows
on ground floor left, one of 3-lights with old glass in diamond-panes. Pentice
extension to ground floor left in angle with the stack. One window and one door.
Main door to left, in brick extension and porch recess, with leaded margin-lights.
Part tile hung pentice extension to left. Rear:- Gable wing to right with
buttresses to ground floor, one 3-light window on each floor, that to ground
floor under cambered head. Two first and ground floor windows to left. Glazed
door in return wall of wing.
Interior:- Ceiling frames exposed with chamfered joists. Framed partition walls.
Possible moated site.
