4/222 Woodfalls Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. Mid C17, C19 altered. English garden wall bond brick,
tiled roof, brick stacks. T-plan, wing of C17 house partly
demolished. 2-storey. C19 porch to left of main range, 6-panelled
door with casement either side; all with segmental heads and
keystones. No windows to C17 build, former rear. Twin gabled
roof, saddleback coping to verges, pinnacles. Left return has 4-
panelled C19 door to left of wing, main range has 3-light ovolo-
moulded mullioned window to ground, first and attic floors, 3-brick
plat bands at each floor level. Rear has C19 English bond brick to
wall closing wing truncation; no windows, to left of main range is
2-light casement to ground floor, 3-brick plat band to first floor
with 2-light casement in ovolo-moulded case, missing mullion.
Right return has 3-light and 2-light casements to all floors.
Attached to left of front is single-storey C19 extension with
planked doors, casements and tiled roof.
Interior not accessible at time of survey (January 1985), but said
to contain chamfered beams with ogee stops, open fireplaces.
