Early C19 possibly part of the improvements of circa 1820s with Westmacott
and Wyattville in charge. Not the fine design proposed by Chambers in 1750s
with balustraded parapet. 5 low segmental arches in diminishing heights.
Ashlar built. Impost band (slightly ramped). Angled returns to east.
High parapet to west. Passage across bridge divided by 6 ft brick and stone
(screen) wall.
