C18 refronting of C15 building. 2 storeys stucco faced. Moulded modillion
eaves cornice. Gable end steep pitch old tile roof. 3 windows on 1st floor,
flush architrave framed sashes, later glazing. Ground floor has late C18/
early C19 symmetrical shop front, 2 windows and central door, thin flanking
pilasters, moulded cornice carried across, modern, fascia added. Arched passage
entrance to left leading to Avon View. Timber framing with brick infilling
to south wall. Jettied timber framed rear to building, beam ends projecting
below deeper overhang to passage. Steep pitched gable exposed arched brace
collar truss, plaster infilling, on ground floor replaced by brick. 1st floor
C17 rectangular bay window of 5 small lights, narrow side lights, moulded
mullions, the sill supported by brackets with turned pendants.
Interior: lst floor "hall" to rear with arched brace collar truss roof.
Nos 77 to 87 (odd) No 2 Avon View and Nos 91 to 95 (odd) form a group.
