Short stretch of retaining wall to the SE of County Hall terrace, the one section not apparently refaced in mid C20, and presumably including medieval work.
Curving section of retaining wall in mixed coloured stone, in contrast to mid C20 and later surrounding retaining walls of rock-faced grey limestone. A small section of rougher walling maybe a piece of medieval wall outlined in a C19 or later reconstruction.
Included as possibly a fragment of the medieval wall and for group value with the County Hall.
