Road bridge over the River Taf, presumably the new bridge for which tenders were advertised and John Thomas, the bridge surveyor for the county, was paid for the plans in 1823.
Road bridge, rubble stone, a single large semi-circular arch with stone voussoirs, raised string course under parapet with slate copings. Abutments each side are pierced by large circular openings to lighten weight and have raised outer piers, terminated at parapet level with caps and ridged coping stones. Curving abutment walls each end.
Included as a substantial and well-designed Georgian road bridge.
