Canal Aqueduct, Gilwern

Uploader's Comments

The Llam-march Tramroad passed along the top of the wall then turned sharply to the right where it terminated on the canal bank. The Clydach Railroad passed along the base of the wall then through the arch under the canal. It originally continued to Glangwyne Forge but was terminated at Gilwern following a collapse of a bridge over the River Usk.
