Pentrefelin Church Hall

A Grade II Listed Building in Dolbenmaen, Gwynedd

Pentrefelin Church Hall, Pentrefelin

Uploader's Comments

The building was designed by Clough Williams-Ellis and built as the church room for the more remote St Cynhaearn's Church. The church at Ynyscynhaearn is now in the care of the Friends of Friendless Churches and only open for occasional services.
Weekly Sunday services are now held in the church room. However it is in a bad state of repair and the main door is closed for health and safefty reasons, hence the yellow and black tape. The blue side door is used as the entrance.
The building shows the rounded corners typical of much of Williams-Ellis's work.
