K-6 type square red kiosk; of cast-iron construction to the standard design by Giles Gilbert Scott, architect of London (design introduced by GPO in 1936). This example was manufactured by the Lion Foundry Co Ltd, whose foundry plate is affixed to the rear.
Domed roof with 4 lunettes containing embossed and unpierced George VI crowns over painted opals. Raised surrounds with marginal bars to horizontal glazing; moulded plinth and blank rear.
