A Grade II Listed Building in Willington Worthenbury, Wrexham

WORTHENURY MANOR DINING ROOM

Uploader's Comments

This shows the oak panelled dining room in 2014. The oak panelling is 17th century and probably came from Emeral Hall when it was demolished around 1927. There was evidence of the dining room walls having been covered in a brown oil cloth resembling oak panels which probably dated back to around 1890 when the building was enlarged for Crawshay-Bailey the Baronet's nephew. The Manor was know as The Cottage at this time. It only became The Manor after the nephew inherited the estate. His aunt continued to live at Emeral Hall.
