History

Third-quarter C19 rectangular stable block, built to serve Cyffdy Hall; contemporary with the coach-house attached to the main house.

Exterior

Whitened rubble construction with medium-pitched slate roof. 3 entrances with 4 equally-spaced windows to the court side and facing a narrow cobbled pavement. The doors are boarded and studded with pegged frames. That to the L is flanked by early C20 4-pane windows with vent sections below (that to far L boarded); that to the R has original 16-pane flanking sashes. All openings have large slate lintels; the windows have projecting slate cills. Ruinous lean-to to rear at L, with small 2-light window and stable door to R.

Interior

The interior was not inspected at the time of survey (2/97).
