Mid C20 cast-iron telephone call box, made between 1936 and 1953 to standard design of Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, called K6, introduced 1936.
Red painted cast-iron kiosk with shallow domed roof over four lunettes with embossed George VI crowns, over narrow lettered transparent panels and ventilation slits. Horizontal glazing bars to two sides and iron door, with marginal glazing bars, raised surround and moulded plinth. Blank rear with makers plate of Lion Foundry, Kirkintilloch.
