Early C19 pair of small two-storey houses.
Whitewashed rubble stone with slate roofs, and three stone stacks. Two houses, each double fronted with small sash windows and centre door, the facades offset towards centre in mirror image. Small 4-pane casements under eaves and small 4-pane sashes below.
Rear one small ground floor window to each house. Eastern cottage has painted grained woodwork to window frames and ledged door.
Included as the best surviving example in the area of smaller two-storey traditional houses. Group value with Hawen Chapel.
