Probably C15-C16 agricultural barn of 5 bays, timber framed on cruck trusses and clad with weatherboarding, and a corrugated iron roof replacing stone slates. Main barn comprises 4 bays, with 3 cruck couples and box-framed ends, the NE bay originally filled. Crucks are smoothly curved and have collar and tie halved in, and have vertically mitred and tenoned, the apex trenched for a diagonal ridge [Type B]. Blades originally trenched for 2 tiers of purlins, but two purlins now carried on an outrider each side, meeting the extended end of the ties. Battens for slating torched. Walls of square framing set on high stone sill walls taking up the lie of the land, and were originally filled with wattle and daub. Tension braces in gable ends. An bay added at the NE end as a stable, under an extension of the roof. An extension on the side is indicated on the tithe award.
Included as a fine cruck-framed barn exhibiting two phases of later medieval construction, and of group value with Pant farmhouse.
