Mid to late C19 gate lodge to the Cefn Park estate
Two storey, red brick built Neo-Classical gate lodge with possible influence of the work of C R Cockerell. Stone dressings; slate roof with brick chimney stack wide projecting eaves supported on cast-iron brackets and chimney stack. To the front elevation is a Roman Doric loggia of two columns and two pillars surmounted by a wide stone entablature. Recessed first floor thermal window.
Internal inspection not possible at time of re-survey in 1996.
Listed as a good example of a C19 lodge, and for group value with Cefn Park.
