Probably built as a dwelling in the C17, but long-used as a public house.
Rendered over brick or possible timber frame with Welsh slate roof with red tiled cresting. One and a half storeys, 3 unit plan. Doorway towards left in added gabled porch, flanked by renewed casement windows. Early C19 casement window with iron gothick glazing to right. 3 framed gabled dormers in the roof, with casement windows, and bargeboards with finials to overhanging eaves. End wall stacks. Blind rear elevation to road.
Listed as a good example of rural vernacular building.
Group value with bridges over Rivers Clywedog and Gwenfro.
