Dated 1812; a lodge or estate cottage built by Sir Robert Williames Vaughan of Nannau, Bart.
D-shaped and single storey; rubble construction with semi-conical old slate roof. 2- section chimney, the upper a brick addition; plain cornice. Central blocked entrance to flat (rear) side with datestone and initials RW V AM (for Robert Williames and Anna Maria Vaughan).Plain-glazed window to the R and to the L, a recessed boarded door with rectangular light above. Two small flush 4-pane casement windows to the front, flanking a blind cross-loop.
The building was undergoing roof-repairs at the time of inspection (February 1995.)
Listed as a highly distinctive early C19 Nannau estate building.
