History

Built in 1821 when the Tanat Feeder to the Montgomeryshire Canal was realigned and widened with a view to making it navigable.

Exterior

Cemented red brick on stone rubble base, chamfered stone cappings. Simple segmental arch with arch ring of three courses, outward curving abutments. Flat road surface on timber baulks.

Reasons for Listing

Included as part of an early C19 series of waterway structures at N end of Montgomeryshire Canal.
