History

Probably built after l855 when Castle Hall was remodelled and the road diverted away from the house.

Exterior

Mid Cl9 lodge, roughcast with imitation slate roof, single storey with 5-sided front and flat rear wall. Large camber-headed sashes in stucco surrounds in W, NW and NE sides, plastic replacement sashes, and blank N and E sides, the N side with stucco plaque 'Castle Hall Lodge.' Stucco angle pilasters with moulded caps and moulded stucco eaves cornice. Late C20 rear addition in concrete block with hipped roof behind parapet.
