Cl8 and mid Cl9 cottage in colourwashed roughcast with slate roof and brick end wall stacks. Two storeys, the ground floor is Cl8 original, the upper floor added cl860 in brick. Upper floor has two four-pane casement windows, the ground floor has 6-pane window to left, 4-pane to right and centre door. Front garden is enclosed by curving rubble wall.
Said to have been an inn in Cl8. One of the last of a group of some 10 or 11 cottages up the E shore of Castle Pill, and picturesquely sited at the head of Black Bridge.
