History

Mid C19 village house, not marked on 1840 Tithe Map. In 1964 the house had a plastered front (old list).

Exterior

Sandstone rubble, formerly roughcast, with slate roof, bracket eaves and stone stacks. Two-storey, three-window range of hornless 12-pane sashes, centre C20 door and C20 radiating bar fanlight. Three slate steps up. Basement door to right, to right of terraced garden. Iron strap hinges. Stone voussoirs to all openings. Upper corner stones and window jambs have grey stone, in contrast to brown stone elsewhere.
Front garden is raised on rubble stone terrace with spearhead iron railings on two sides.

Reasons for Listing

One of a group of houses of the Aberaeron type lining main road at Llanarth.
