The Scotsborough Monument against the North wall is the largest in the church and is a memorial to the first wife of Thomas Rees of Scotsborough a former mansion near the town. He placed the monument to the tender memory of a worthy wife Margaret Mercer deceased in childbirth who died May 1st 1610 after having lived twelve years most faithfully with her husband having borne 10 children, 7 of whom still live; she died aged thirty.
