Above the arched doorway of the 14th century South Porch can be seen the blocked medieval lancet window, which once lit the parvis. The porch formerly comprised two storeys, the medieval corbels visible on the east and west walls used to carry the floor of the parvis (a small room for occupation of a priest above a porch), which was accessed from the tower through the now blocked doorway. A medieval stoup can be seen underneath this blocked doorway. (Church guide).(Photo Oct 2010)
