History

Probably C18 field barn/animal shelter. Originally three bays; extended to NE by addition of lofted cowshed/stable. Formerly part of now ruined Penryhn Uchaf farm; now part of Bryn Eithin farm.

Exterior

Drystone flat slate slabs with some boulders in foundations; modern thin slate roof. Two boarded doors face track (SE), L leads to barn, R to lofted animal shelter added beyond original NE gable end which is now partition wall. Added NE gable has stone steps up to small loft doorway. Ground falls to NW where side elevation has, to R, doorway to animal shelter and small-pane agricultural type window with wooden lintel and slate sill. Shelter lofted (loft open to barn) with wooden feed trough.

Interior

Barn roof has two tie-beam trusses (one has lost its tie), and two tiers of purlins.
