Probably built late C18, the predecessor to the larger, more visible Twr Mawr (Llanddwyn Lighthouse) which was erected early C19 (probably between 1800 and 1823).
Circular day-mark tower, built as a landmark for shipping. Built of local rubble, with tapering walls and saucer dome; large square headed doorway at base.
A good surviving example of a late C18 day-mark, and part of a group with the lighthouse, keepers' and pilots cottages nearby.
