Probably C18, but still very much in the manner of a C17 cottage.
Roughcast and painted, probably over rubblestone, with a natural slate roof. Double depth central entry plan with a symmetrical façade. One-and-a-half storeys, two windows. Central plank door flanked by small 4 4 pane casements. Upper floor has equal eaves gables, each with a 3 3 pane casements. Steeply pitched roof with stack on either gable.

Included for its special interest as part of a group of well preserved historic buildings at the entrance to Abergavenny Castle.
