History

A probably early C19 refronting of a C17 house. Church Street had some widening as part of the improvements associated with Priory Street and White Swan Court in c1837, but according to the maps the south side of the street had been set back in part previous to this. The north side appears to retain the historic street line.

Exterior

Roughcast fronted and painted with rusticated quoins and bands at first and upper floor levels, Welsh slate roof. Three storeys, single window, double depth plan. Ground floor has a probably early C20 shop front with central entrance and house door to left, panelled pilasters, plate glass windows, plain fascia. First floor has a canted oriel with 6 over 6 pane sashes flanked by 1 over 1. Second floor has a recessed 2-light casement with plain railings. Gable has single slight window and plain bargeboards.
Rear elevation not seen.

Interior

Interior not available at resurvey, apart from the shop premises.
