A probably C15 preaching cross. It is said to have been removed from Cross Lane, but this seems unlikely. It does, however, appear to have been reconstructed at some time.
The cross is constructed of red and grey sandstone in large blocks and is built on a square base of five diminishing steps. This is topped by a large square socket stone with broaches and the base of a tapering octagonal shaft. This is crowned by a later tapering stone and a small cross.
Included as a medieval preaching cross which has strong group value with the other listed buildings in the centre of Trellech village.
Scheduled Ancient Monument MM107(MON).
