Said to have been built in 1819 by Thomas Telford, then County Surveyor for Shropshire - a datestone is referred to by Blackwall, but is no longer visible.
Coursed and dressed sandstone bridge with single, round-headed arch and rusticated voussoirs flanked by distinctively tall and battered abutments that are stepped to the top; string course above. Railings removed to slightly undulating coped parapets which terminate in trapezoidal piers; parapet to downstream side curves out at both ends.
A good example of a small stone arched bridge.
