A range of two barns in tandem, with a slight step in the roof level. Local limestone rubble with slate roofs and tile ridges. Vernacular queen-strut trusses. The upper barn consists of two enclosed bays plus an open bay which serves as a passage into the farmyard. Opposed doors front and rear; ventilation holes.
The lower barn is of three bays. Opposed doors; two loft hatches at front, three at rear. Roundel at high level in east gable end above loft door.
A good pair of vernacular barns forming the south-east side of the farmyard at Ty'n Llanfair, listed also for group value with the farmhouse.
