Rug Chapel

A Grade I Listed Building in Corwen, Denbighshire

Rug Chapel

Uploader's Comments

A rare example of a chapel built in 1637 at the time of Archbishop Laud. "Provincial" but very charming. See Haslam/Orbach/Voelcker, "Gwynedd" in Buildings of Wales (the chapel was formerly in Merioneth). No outside photos because it was pouring!
The normal English spelling is Rhug. Pronounced "Reeg".
