History

Origins as C17 or earlier timber-framed cruck building faced in stone C18/19.

Exterior

Two storeys, modern cement rendered, modern glazing, slate roof. L plan with older (W) range running roughly N-S. To S, tow storey cross wing has rendered chimney, and 2 square-headed windows to first floor; on ground floor, camber-headed doorway with 2 camber-headed windows to R. To L of this, gable end of N-S range has 2 camber-headed windows at different levels. West elevation has 3 square-headed windows to first floor, and on ground floor, polygonal porch with camber-headed window to R, and 2 camber-headed windows to L; to L of these, further small window. Facing N, blocked stone archway/window.

To S, across yard, is 2-storey range of farm buildings with datestone ‘1802’.

Interior

West range has part of exposed cruck blade, heavy chamfered beams, and joists.

Vernacular farmhouse retaining historic character.
