Mid 19th century, tall 2-storey and attic terrace at angle of
Wick Road (A9) and Main Street. All coursed rubble,
with tooled dressings. 4 2-bay dwellings, with 4 canted
formers face west and Main Street returning to Wick Road
with 4-bay frontage Closely abutting, at south gable
facing. Main Street, further slightly later range of 2
2-storey and attic, 4-bay dwellings, 1 with paired shop
windows slapped in ground floor. Each house with 3 gabled
and finialled dormers breaking wallhead. Some 12-pane
glazing survives; long narrow rear stair windows; ridge
and end stacks; slate roof.
Mid 19th century single storey row service cottages with
north gable fronting A9. 7 bays, 2 doors; large garage
door in end (south) bay. Also rubble; end and ridge stacks;
Caithness slate roof.
Corner site. Slightly later 2-storey 4-bay range does
not appear on 1st edition OS 1871.
