Circa 1850. Free-standing, 2-part granite ashlar drinking fountain on drive to W of Castle, by cricket ground. Rectangular base with projecting circular basin, surmounted by semicircular niche with cornice. Bronze masque water spout, at centre, flanked by small niche for drinking cup.
One of four drinking fountains sited around the Castle, the others being at Craig Gowan, by the East Lodge (Kind Edward VII Memorial) and in the sunken garden to W of Castle. Part of the rich furnishings which distinguish the estate landscape.
