Probably circa 1830. Large rectangular-plan walled garden sited to SW of Inverernan House in designed landscape. High flat-coped rubble walls, stepped to SE and with rounded angles to N and E. Lean-to potting sheds to outer elevation of W wall, and low stone structure to outer elevation of S wall.
Group with Inverernan House, Dovecot Cottage, Ice House, Gates and Stables. The walled garden would have been an important element of the Inverernan policies. Sited on gently sloping ground to the south western edge of the designed landscape, the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map shows it divided into quadrants with a half-width walled extension to the south west. Its principal access was reached by a tree-lined path leading from the house to a gate at the N elevation. It is likely that the garden was built during the earlier 19th century as during this period Inverernan House was remodelled with a classical frontage, and stables and offices were added.
