Circa 1828. Interesting survival of good original timber and ironwork 2-leaf gates with dwarf square-section ashlar gatepiers surmounted by simple block cornice with cavetto, and low quadrant walls with coping.
Group with Inverernan House, Dovecot Cottage, Ice House, Stables and Walled Garden. These fine quality gates mark the principal entrance to Inverernan House, giving access to a long driveway flanked by designed landscape elements. Inverernan House was built in 1764, reconstructed in classical style in 1828, and again remodelled in 1935. The resultant house is a near copy of Bellabeg, a laird's house dating from 1690-1730.
