Description

Thomas Telford, circa 1840. 2-storey, 2-bay, rectangular-plan, gabled house. Coursed Caithness stone slabs, regular fenestration, irregular to rear. Blind gable end to E, abutting 32 to W.

N (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: door to right with projecting margin.

INTERIOR: not seen 2001.

Plate glass windows, rooflight. Grey slates, coped skew and gable stack to E. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

The Group listing is in recognition of the exceptional group value of these buildings as the core of Thomas Telford's 1809 scheme for the new town plan of Pulteneytown for the British Fisheries Society.
