Early 20th century. 2-storey, 3-bay square-plan school house. Moulded ashlar surrounds to openings; base course. Stugged snecked sandstone.
SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: asymmetrical elevation; central panelled door; fanlight. Corniced eaves course to right section of elevation. Mullioned bipartite window to right. Piended bipartite dormer window, wholly in gable above; small rooflight to centre. Gabled bay to left; corniced canted bay window with 3 windows; mullioned bipartite window centred above.
NE ELEVATION: partially seen, 2000. Door and ground floor window to right; 2 windows centred above. Modern extension to right.
NW ELEVATION: not seen, 2000.
SW ELEVATION: modern conservatory addition. 1st floor window to left.
Timber sash and case windows; 4 upper panes, 1 lower; moulded cills. Gambrel slate roof; swept at eaves; raised stone skews; corniced skewputts. Corbelled gable ends to principal elevation left bay. Corniced gable apex stacks; circular cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods with decorative hoppers.
INTERIOR: not seen, 2000.
BOUNDARY WALL
Low sandstone wall to front; central gate.
B-Group with Limekilns Primary School. Probably built in conjunction with the adjacent Limekilns Primary School by T Hyslop Ure and Beveridge as the schoolmaster's house, circa 1912.
