Statement of Interest

The OS Name Book describes 'Herberts Villa' as "...a dwelling house 1 storey high and in good repair, with a vegetable garden attached." It should be noted however, that prior to editing, the text read '2 storeys'. With no visual evidence to support the theory that the house was originally single storey and subsequently raised, the unedited text is probably the more accurate.
