Probably late 18th to early 19th century in origin. Near L-plan walled garden (approximately 3,800m?). Heavily pointed coped rubble walls; tooled sandstone quoins; modern rendered wall to SW. Decorative hinges to pointed-arched, boarded timber door; decorative iron gate to SE. Various single storey structures adjoining outer elevations to S including former stables and gig house; modern garage block; modern stable range.
Fine walls, originally associated with the nearby Purves Hall (Tower) - see separate list entry. A later house of the same name stands to the SE and today owns most of the garden - see separate list entry 'Purves Hall (House)'. The remainder is owned by the older property. Little remains of the garden's original layout, which is shown on the 1858 Ordnance Survey map.
