Description

Earlier to mid 19th century with later repairs. 3-arch bridge spanning Lambden Burn. Sandstone rubble; predominantly droved sandstone dressings. Segmental arches with sandstone voussoirs; coursed and tooled sandstone abutments; coursed and tooled bowed cutwater buttresses with stepped semicircular caps. Droved quoins to parapets; droved and chamfered sandstone coping; near square-plan terminating piers projecting on outer elevations.

Statement of Interest

An unusually detailed bridge which, despite its recent ribbon-pointing 'repairs', remains much as it was when 1st complete.
