Description

1810. 3-storey with basement and attic, 11-bay, terraced classical tenement. Polished sandstone ashlar, channelled rustication at ground (not to centre bay). Band course between ground and 1st floor, cill band at 1st floor, projecting cills at 2nd floor, mutuled and corniced eaves with blocking course, recessed centre bay with projecting cills, ashlar steps and entrance plats oversailing basement.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: timber panelled door in entrance with round-arched fanlight to centre bay, timber panelled doors in fanlit entrances to bays 3 and 9; windows to remaining bays, regular fenestration above, 4 tripartite piended dormers evenly disposed above, rooflights.

Timber sash and case windows with 12-pane glazing, grey slates, skews, gablehead and ridge stacks with terracotta cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

BOUNDARY WALLS: rubble walls with ashlar copes.
