Description

David Sutherland, builder, building 1821. 2-storey and attic, 9-bay, classical terrace of 3, 3-bay houses. Sandstone ashlar. Projecting cills, mutuled cornice.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: pilastered and corniced doorpieces with fanlights in 1st, 6th and 7th bays; deep-set windows to remaining bays, regular fenestration above, piended and canted tripartite dormers to Nos 16 and 18, box dormer to No 20, rooflights.

S (GABLE) ELEVATION: harled gable end with neighbouring property adjoining.

Timber sash and case windows with plate glass glazing, grey slates, gablehead and ridge stacks with terracotta cans, coped skews.

INTERIOR: not seen 1998.

BOUNDARY WALLS: low rubble walls with ashlar copes.
