Early to earlier 19th century. 2-stage, rubble folly (gable end adjoined by 2-storey cottage) with ashlar dividing course and projecting rubble margins. Pointed arch openings.
N ELEVATION: 1st stage with large pointed-arch recess at ground containing memorial tablet, narrow window high up to right. 2nd stage with brick-traceried window below quatrefoil opening, 3 small square nesting boxes to left.
Cottage to rear: door to E, flanked by windows, harled extension to W.
Formerly part of the Raith Estate, this folly was viewed from Raith House to the N. An almost identical structure, known as 'Lambswell' (listed separately) is situated to the W of Raith House.
