Mid to later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan, symmetrical shop with accommodation above, chamfered NE angle at ground. Modern dry-dash at ground; traditional painted harl at 1st floor. Band course between ground and 1st floors. Concrete margins to openings with aproned cills at ground; block cills to 1st floor windows.
E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: modern glazed door at ground in bay to centre; timber fascia, 'D A LEASK' above; window at 1st floor above. Shop window at ground with window at 1st floor above in bays flanking.
N (SIDE) ELEVATION: 4-bay, grouped 2-2. 2-bay gabled group to left: window at each floor to left; modern part-glazed door at ground to right; gablehead stack above. 2-bay group to right: window at each floor to left; modern part-glazed door at ground with window at 1st floor above to right.
Modern timber-framed windows with top-hung upper lights at 1st floor; modern shop windows at ground. Purple Welsh slate; stone ridge; concrete skews; harled corniced stacks to N and S gables; uPVC rainwater goods, with some cast-iron downpipes to N.
INTERIOR: fitted as modern butcher's shop with cold store to rear.
Being a Grocer's under Martha Sabiston in 1900, it also served as Wine Shop before becoming a Butcher's, which is what it remains today.
