Early 19th century. 2-storey with basement and attic, classical house with pedimented wallhead gable, on ground falling to S. Painted ashlar with raised stone margins and quoin strips. Part base course and eaves lintel course and cornice. Corniced door and ground floor windows stone mullions.
S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: 10 steps up to block-pedimented and pilastered doorway with panelled timber door and deep plate glass fanlight at centre, pilaster-flanked tripartite windows (each with wider centre light) in bays to right and left of centre; 1st floor with window at centre and 2 further windows to outer bays; window above in centre pedimented gable with blind oculus breaking eaves and flanking rooflights.
E ELEVATION: window on return to left of lower, pitch-roofed wing projecting across centre and right bays; blind oculus to outer left and small attic window on recessed face.
N ELEVATION: 3 windows to 1st floor, ground floor not visible.
12-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. Red tiles. Ashlar coped skews and cavetto coped ashlar stacks with polygonal cans.
BOUNDARY WALLS AND RAILINGS: coped rubble boundary walls, and decorative cast-iron railing flanking steps to main door.
Nos 427 and 431, former offices/carriage house pavilions, sited immediately S of Harbour House, are listed separately.
